Sharp ImageSEND™
With the award winning Sharp ImageSEND technology our workgroup document systems connect people and ideas by streamlining business communications, optimizing document workflow efficiency and increasing productivity. ImageSEND technology integrates scanning and faxing into one convenient function. With one touch access, you can send a scanned document to any of the following destination types; Send to Email, Send to FTP, Send to Internet Fax (I-Fax), Send to Desktop, Send to Fax and Send to Group. The ImageSEND Send to Group function allows you to simultaneously send scanned documents to up to 300 E-mail, Fax and I-Fax destinations. Scanned documents sent to a desktop can automatically open in a desktop application such as Word or Excel.

ImageSEND technology not only increases document workflow efficiency, it optimizes network administration. With ImageSEND technology your IT administrator uses tools located on a Web browser-based document system Home Page to create and manage senders and destinations from any computer. Once set up on the Home Page, each sender and destination appear as a "one-touch" key on the control panel of your Sharp workgroup document system. ImageSEND can store up to 500 destination addresses. ImageSEND includes 10 user licenses of Sharpdesk® software to further automate your document distribution process.

Sharp Application Communications and Application Integration Modules

Whether from customizable assist lists or entering information on the fly, the Sharp Application Communication and Application Integration Module (MX-AMX2 and MX-AMX1, respectively) are flexible and enable your MFP to utilize Document Application so you can control your document workflow right from your multifunction document system’s touch-screen panel, thereby automating tasks that once took several steps.

The Application Modules are available on Sharp MFPs from 23-110 PPM.

The Application Communications Module is key to integrating a wide range of powerful Document applications offered by Sharp Partner Program Members to create an advanced document solution environment.

Sharpdesk® 3.3 software

Sharpdesk software is an easy to use desktop-based, personal document management application that lets users browse, edit, search, compose, process and forward scanned and native electronic documents. It enables the creation and distribution of proposals, reports and more with the ease of drag and drop operation. Simply drag and drop your files onto Sharpdesk software’s work area and you'll be able to browse through them in a single window. Each file type can be displayed as a thumbnail for quick visual location and identification of a document. Over 200 types of files, such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, TIFF, JPEG and BMP, are supported.

The powerful search function of Sharpdesk software lets you quickly find documents by searching full text and utilizing metadata fields including image PDF and TIF files. The full text search utility yields results in thumbnails with a summary for faster recognition of the correct file.

With Sharpdesk Composer, you can combine different file types (image, PDF, MS Office files, etc) into a single document through simple drag-and-drop operation. The 'Convert by OCR' function on the Sharpdesk Output Zone provides the ability to convert image files and image PDFs into searchable PDFs and various MS Office file formats to edit content.

An annotation function in Sharpdesk Imaging provides a range of useful editing tools, including text, labels and stamps, allowing network users to review and proofread documents without overwriting original files and the need to print hard copies.

Sharpdesk software is included with the embedded Network Scanning in Sharp multifunction document systems and FO-DC series devices, allowing you to scan paper documents, forward them or even convert them into editable digital files.

An eCopy software-enabled Sharp MFP provides direct integration to a multitude of back-end applications via eCopy Connectors and eCopy Services. They complement existing software and hardware investments, maximize functionality, and provide a quick return on investment (ROI).

eCopy Connectors provide direct integration between an eCopy software-enabled Sharp MFP and applications, like e-mail, document management systems, fax servers, enterprise software applications, etc.

eCopy Services help organizations recoup the costs associated with scanning paper documents as well as track documents by number rather than by name.

With eCopy software, integrating Sharp MFPs into existing enterprise workflows is simple with Core Connectors* that are bundled with the base product:

eCopy Developed Connectors to:
  • EMC® Documentum Content Server® - paper documents can be scanned at an eCopy-enabled MFP and sent into an EMC Documentum Repository for storage and ongoing document lifecycle management
  • Interwoven Worksite – paper documents scanned at an eCopy-enabled MFP are easily converted into electronic images that can then be stored in the desired workspaces and folders within Interwoven WorkSite

**The eCopy Connector for Microsoft SharePoint uses the Microsoft .NET framework to communicate with SharePoint products and technologies. Version 1.1 or later of the framework must be installed on the ScanStation PC for the Connector to work properly. The latest version of the .NET framework can be downloaded free of charge at http://www.microsoft.com.
